What do these corporations have in common?

Netflix
Ford
Tesla
T-Mobile
Duke Energy
DISH Network
Metlife
Dominion Energy
United States Steel

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.

This is what a corporate-rigged system looks like.

I'm honestly getting rather tired of some folks making a mountain out of a molehill when it comes to the Prime Minister. Look, I'm not fond of him either, but I still prefer him to what was the only other close alternative.

The latest thing is about an agreement he signed with Alberta's premier...

Apple is anti-union.

Tesla is anti-union.

Amazon is anti-union.

McDonald's is anti-union.

Starbucks is anti-union.

Google is anti-union.

Walmart is anti-union.

These mega-corporations aren’t on workers’ side and their actions make it painfully clear.

“They can’t do that! The ADA protects you!”

People love to say this when you tell them you’ve been discriminated against or mistreated for being disabled

Just because someone technically shouldn’t do something, doesn’t mean they won’t

Dealing with discrimination is a part of being disabled

I get a bit irritated when I see “now they’re coming after disabled people?!” like we didn’t all see that clip in 2015.

They have ALWAYS been coming after disabled people. They use us to stoke fear, to delegitimize the agency of our own and other groups, as scapegoats, as bellwethers, as excuses.

I will be the first to admit I couldn’t understand why anyone would oppose Assisted Dying… and then I became disabled and had it “offered” to me.

It’s not compassionate when there’s coercion.

It’s not dignified when it’s offered in lieu of care.

Listen to disabled people.

So the Fuckin Old Reconstituted Dodge is back to his usual, corrupt self. With Bill 60, Douglas has shown his disdain for even the common people of Ontario, those who allowed him and his government to retain power.

The thought of homelessness adds dried brush to the fire in my chest.

My main issue with AI is that a fair amount of the global population lack the knowledge to discern genuine information from AI falsities.

Besides there's better things we can be powering, like warming shelters for the homeless population in the winter.

Y'know, instead of things that dumb us down.

MP Jamil Jivani is not for Canada, Canadian prosperity, or even relief in hard times. He's for the radical right-wing agenda that looks to prop up the ultra-wealthy at the expense of all other Canadians.

Their "free market" isn't really free, because they control it. Let's stop being pawns.

Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

Past is prologue.

In 1933, during the Great Depression, a group of wealthy businessmen tried to overthrow the US government and install a fascist dictator to protect their own interests.

And everything that led to it feels way too familiar right now.

This is not a history lesson, it’s a warning.

When I was laid off, I spoke with the others who got the axe with me.

We realized we had all had moments where we pushed back in editorial disagreements with our superiors.

Turns out a culture of layoffs that targets those who are least deferential to authority has the expected impact.
I mean, look, I'm not a reporter, so who am I to talk?

But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession.

But that's just me

Right wing fascists would have us believe that hatred of Netanyahu and his government is antisemitic. It isn't, any more than hatred of Trump and his catch-farts is hatred of all Americans. Evil should be called out wherever it appears.

Virginia was a warrior. Despite the overwhelming damage done to her by the predators as a child, she fought for justice. She spoke up and inspired other victims to do the same.

I agree with her family & the other victims; I don't think she killed herself.
This IS Virginia.

Virginia is NOT going away.

Virginia Deserves Justice.

Keep this lovely woman in the NOW, Everyday.

THEY killed her years ago.

But Virginia refused to lay down and die, for a long time.

WE must carry on HER fight for JUSTICE.

But under the surface, one that’s being sold as an Indigenous-led LNG project is actually — spoiler — American as hell.

That’s not even the worst part!
