I see James Watson died. So it's time for a science joke.
"What did Watson and Crick discover?"
"Rosalind Franklin's notes."
Good joke.

The court limiting injunctions is crazy. These people have never given up power willingly but throw it at the first dictator to show up. America is far weaker than we were led to believe. A nation of pussies

Always important to remember, when it happened, everyone knew how bad it was. They all needed time to create a web of justifications and excuses to justify or dismiss the gravity of it. The incoming president led a criminal attempt to overthrow the republic.
At the time, everyone, including Republicans, understood how bad it was. Then, brick by brick, they built a foundation of lies to justify doing what they know, deep down, to be wrong. Trump betrayed the country. And so do they.

Colin Jost asks every team of three on Pop Culture Jeopardy if any of them are dating. He asks in an open-ended but also confused way that tells me he’s got a side bet going on how many episodes it takes to get to a polycule. Which makes me feel good because like, look at his hopeful little face.

The tracking shot was invented long before the sound era, but this shot from Our Blushing Bridges (1930) shows a new understanding of how to use a boom mike and a tracking shot to create an audio-visual collage.
