We had our day rearranged so we could watch it. It exploded and the teacher turned off the TV and we started a different lesson.

Remember that whether it’s clothing or blankets, you want something a little lighter weight and breathable (natural fiber!) next to your skin, then a few layers of mid-weight, and something that actively blocks out cold on top. Everything before that layer is there to trap your body heat in.

Our friend who is a few blocks from everything happening, at work right now, has said that having people in other places willing to read their accounts of what is happening and offer them emotional support is a help.
