Es geht um die radikale Rechte. Fakt ist: Es ist empirisch falsch.
Habe ich auch mal anders gedacht? Ja. Gibt es aber einen einzigen empirischen Ansatzpunkt dafür? Nein.
Das Gegenteil ist der Fall.
Falsch. Die Ausgrenzung hat sie groß gemacht. Statt in die Debatte zu gehen.

Radical right parties in Europe have not moderated. Their positions and rhetoric have entered the mainstream. They have become normalized and legitimized. Unless we understand this, we have little chance of countering their success.
In many parts of Europe populist-right parties have moderated as they have grown, shedding unpopular policies and personnel. If anything, the AfD in Germany is growing more radical econ.st/3KSptMm

New article , together with Salvatore Barbaro, in Public Choice: On the prevalence of Condorcet's Paradox.

Analyzing 253 national elections, we show that Condorcet Paradoxes virtually never occur. This raises an important question: who is the Condorcet winner?

Another semester at the University of #Mannheim has come to an end. I certainly learned a great deal myself — and hopefully my students did as well! It has been a pleasure, and now I am looking forward to the coming weeks, which will hopefully be a bit quieter as we approach the end of the year.

Die AfD hat ihre Jugendorganisation neu gegründet, sie wird extremistischer und gleichzeitig disziplinierter. Damit liefert sie neue Belege für ihre Radikalität – und verliert an Wucht.

Instrumentally inclusive: Does support for LGBT+ rights grow when people are reminded of Muslim opposition to it?

Yes and the results of this paper still stand.

The paper speaks a truth to power in a way our society needs.

If anything, we need more research on justifications of Islamophobia 🙏

Very unprofessional of the APSR to publish a response to a published article without publishing the original authors' reaction. "They will be published in the same issue." So we see them together when we get our hardcopy in the mail and flip through it on a Sunday afternoon?
