saturation with Tolkien spinoffs has somehow not prepared our culture for the arrival of dark lords bearing a gift that everyone becomes convinced they can wield to accomplish great things but just makes them dependent and start whispering about preciouses if you suggest just throwing it away

People who don’t believe in fair wages and business practices shouldn’t be allowed to wear union suits.

Shakily convincing myself I can’t walk a mile in 4 minutes so that I wait for the bus instead.

I haven’t muted ‘MTG’ yet because I enjoy some of your Magic: The Gathering posts, but I’m seriously reevaluating.

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Start to finish, voting took 10 minutes with friendly election staff and a passive-aggressive post-it on the shaky voting booth. Minnesota rules. Go vote.

This reminds me: While not as nationally reported on, there are two other progressives running for mayor in major US cities. I have seen them compared as the Zohran of their races. We have Omar Fateh for Minneapolis & Katie Wilson for Seattle. If you can vote in those cities, I’d recommend them!

I think it’s very funny that every time a progressive is about to win an election, papers splash pearl-clutching headlines that amount to, “If this candidate wins, the biggest assholes in town will leave!” as though that’s a bad thing.

Alanis fucking Morissette. Goddamn.
October 25, 2025 at 7:21 AM
They don’t have a signature cocktail for this Alanis Morissette show and that’s a shame - I think it would go down well in a theater.
