Hi.

I’m a father of two, software engineer (BSEE, MSCS), private pilot (ASEL, IR, AGI, IGI), and author. I’m also coordinator of the IMC Club Nashua chapter and a former IETF regular.

I’m here because Twitter has become less inviting than the flaming dumpster floating by on route 51.

Can someone please get trapped on a greyhound heading out of state? I need a distraction from the news.

I just spent an hour browsing my “likes” page wondering why there was nothing new to see.

The Falcon 7X is functionally the updated replacement to the Falcon 900, yet there are several subtle yet obvert design changes.

Most notable is that the 7X has dihedral when the F900 has anhedral. Dihedral is that upward angle to the wings and anhedral the downward angle #avgeek

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

We’re going to war with Greenland, aren’t we? If there is a next president, it’s hard to see how we ever make things right again with the rest of the world. Who could possibly trust us?

In 2003, as part of a massive crackdown on civil liberties, Congress passed a bill creating the Department of Homeland Security, and with it, ICE.

Since then, ICE agents have wreaked havoc on our communities. Enough is enough.
Stop ICE's Attack On Our Communities
An ICE agent shot and killed Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis. This news is devastating. ICE must immediately withdraw its 2,000 agents from Minnesota and Congress must block any new funding to immigration enforcement.

Ugh another failed run-up.

On December 13th, I went to go for a little flight and the #6 cylinder temp ran away on the left mag. Tried to fix it like a fouled plug but no avail. Told my mechanic and he eventually looked at it: high resistance in that plug. Replaced.

Looks like ICE is now cracking down on … Native Americans.

This letter was just posted by the chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in North/South Dakota:

“Our Nation is a sovereign government and our members are not immigrants. We are not subject to immigration enforcement on our own lands.”

Back in 2014, an internal CBP audit found a bit of a problem:

"...BP officers were discharging their weapons out of frustration, rather than to guard their safety. It also suggested that officers were purposely placing themselves in front of moving vehicles, and then shooting at them."

New — I wrote about how corporate media is immediately siding with power in the wake of Trump attacking Venezuela and capturing Maduro, and how journalists need to treat the administration as a hostile entity that’s openly lying to them.
Call Trump's power grab in Venezuela what it is
Corporate media must recognize they're being openly lied to—and report accordingly.

I need a way to preemptively block all of the dipshits stumbling over themselves breathlessly to tell us all how they only code via LLMs now. It’s depressing.

Maybe I can craft an AI prompt to create the Bluesky filter for this.
