Because an AV-8B Harrier is more engine than aircraft, you can't remove one from an airframe, so this museum example still had one only partially enclosed.

1) the slower the plane, the shallower the inlet
2) if subsonic, inlet lip is rounded
3) if supersonic, inlet lip sharp and
