First crash with Antagonist today. Ran out of power and tip stalled on landing in a glide. Struck a wing and the nose, but it handled the crash very well.
This is why its valuable to have a spare glue gun and inverter to make the quick repair, and go back flying 💪🏾

Quickly last night I wanted to test a divergent intake on an EDF.
Divergent types are typically on real Turbofans; they force the incoming air to slow down, which makes it denser. For jet engines, its desirable for engine performance. I thought that for an EDF, it would be good for mass flow

Bullfighter is fixed, plus has a new belly hump to help avoid more firewall damages, and Antagonist has thrust body objects to get even more performance out of it.
Maybe tomorrow we'll give em a fly to see how they are. Hopefully good cause I don't want to have to fix the fixes 😅

It has twice the power, probably twice the thrust, and higher efflux, and yet Antagomist STILL feels only about as fast as Bullfighter
I can only theorize that the limitations are coming from Antagonists greater frontal area. Its darn near double that of Bullfighter, which relates to twice the drag

I noticed something unexpected about hobby grade EDFs. The vanes at the back of the van have the slightest curve to them. That means these vanes *are technically stators.
The real question is does the angle they have to the fan create pressure like in real Turbofans?

280Z out in the urban. This IS the perfect size for a coupe, and more cars with 6 and above engines need to be this size.

I also tested a configuration similar to a Challenger 650/Boeing 737 with the thrust body extending out farther of the thrust tube. This configuration only matched a naked EDFs thrust though. (3/5)

From naked to fully dressed you see as much as 25% more thrust! Just as incredible is how simply adding a thrust body to the EDF adds 15%!!! That's tremendous! (2/5)
