What do you call one of these fish after it successfully fends off a rival and then goes back to its cave to relax?

Every time I get behind the wheel of a car I’m increasingly bewildered and angry about how we’ve let them take over every aspect of our lives and cities.

Lol, I feel like a Product Manager at Venmo saw this and decided to torture me by not just not implementing this, but now they're only identified by last two digits ("XX##") instead of last four ("####") 🤣
Wild to me that #Venmo, as a product, has been around for sixteen years, and yet I still cannot nickname my linked bank accounts.

Any #GithubActions experts out there? I'm curious if it's possible to set up a workflow that pings a service to get info about the build. E.g. I want to block merges to `main` (and associated auto-deploys) while the @galacticimpact.com is busy resolving a turn update.

They are also intentionally conflating machine-learning and generative AI slop to confuse and try to make GenAI seem necessary. Google Maps traffic stuff is machine learning, not GenAI, for example. Auto-correct is too. Don't let them make you lose the thread. GenAI slop is slop.
the nyt posts this stuff like avoiding AI for 48 hours is hard and meanwhile i have literally never once intentionally used an AI program for anything ever

Oh no, they recorded my @rmrubyconf.bsky.social talk about @galacticimpact.com and put it on YouTube 🫣 😅

I'm not ready to watch it myself yet, so I need all of you to tell me how I did:

Infuriating that Chrome has injected "AI Mode" into the tabbing order *between* typing into the omnibar and the [Switch to this Tab] dropdown.

Christmas 2016, my wife and I got drunk with a bunch of Swedish metalheads we had just met at in a Stockholm bar.

On of them designated me "King of America" for detailing why the Electoral College was responsible for the recent catastrophe.

So I'm feeling a little attacked with the protests today.

Software engineer salaries are going to be crazy high after the LLM companies spend years enabling everyone to create mountains of technical debt then go bankrupt.
Jesus christ. AI coding platform Augment code had to jack up prices because 22.5% of their users were spending 20x of what they paid, and even after raising the prices, they're still running at a loss.

Does Lifetouch just have like, ironclad, thousand year contracts with every school system in America? Their prices are wildly out of whack with the cost of goods sold, and the buying experience is terrible.

In a different and sane world, the Democratic establishment would be working behind the scenes to get Cuomo and Adams to drop out so the actual Democratic nominee can run away with this thing and claim a big mandate as a very public rebuke to Donald Trump and fascism.
