It's really important to know what sex a child or their parent is when doing child development research.
I still have students (and colleagues!) asking what "gender" a child is or giving more than 2 alternatives for sex.

Greg Wallace anyone?
As Popbitch resurrected the rumour from the anti trans that I treated women badly on Monkey Cage, I’m sharing what happened - this is from Normally Weird & Weirdly Normal - it was actually far worse for me than this version but I wanted to save other people from the glare and blame

1. The purported revolution of AI and LLMs on learning is, at best, taken with a bucket of salt. Many studies show negative effects.

2. Neither policies nor curricula should be designed in favour of them.

3. Facebook effect: Research suffers from echo chamber of group self-cites.

One hallmark of pseudoscience is an emphasis on confirmation rather than refutation.

Scientists are constantly and consistently trying to prove themselves wrong, whereas those who practice pseudoscience are more concerned with proving themselves right.
