Today the Supreme Court granted review in an important case for the outcome of the 2026 elections. At stake is the fate of tens or even hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots. No one is covering this as completely as Democracy Docket. Please support its work by subscribing today. hubs.ly/Q03M8rql0

Interesting, Trump lawyers talking in front of SCOTUS specifically stated tariffs were paid by the public.

If anyone still believes that consumers are not paying every cent of the tariff then ya all need to fuck right off and stop voting and being a consumer of goods FFS!!
Hassett: "I think it's back on the table to think about what to do with those tariff revenues. I'm sure the president will discuss with congressional leaders whether because of all of the extra tax revenue, there is more room to get checks back to people."

There will be another 60 vote Friday* on the garbage shutdown deal. If we can convince just one Senator from the 52 republicans and 8 Dems that voted yes to flip, we could still stop this. Please jump on the phone today, call them, and share this widely.

*If all goes by the regular schedule

Idaho would’ve been able to step up and help their citizens with SNAP. Now, the reality is Idaho cannot even begin to balance their budget. They went from a $2B+ “nest egg” in 2023 to -$100+M black hole. Corporations got their tax breaks at taxpayers expense!
“When it became certain that SNAP would be delayed or eliminated for this month, we had at least half a dozen people in here in tears, just in tears, saying, ‘I don’t know how I’m going to feed my family,'" said Steve Small, food bank manager at the Community Action Partnership in Lewiston.

The #Idaho government will release SNAP on the 7th and 12th. Other states released the benefits right away so people would have food right away. Why not Idaho?
Red state Idaho is slow walking those funds to their citizens. Some states are happy to continue the cruelty this administration dishes out. It’s time to vote out each and every GOP member on the 2026 ticket!

I'm almost 76. We rarely drive at night anymore. We did last night & it was raining hard with high winds, low visibility. I was shocked at how hard it was to see. So I looked up as to why. Passing this on to other old farts. Many things I did not know.

He is telling us not to see what is right in front of us. It won’t work anymore. The numbers are coming in.

He is done. He just doesn’t know it yet.

My favored local restaurant is stepping up during the GOP shutdown and helping out where SNAP isn’t. If you present a SNAP card, they’re going to feed you. This isn’t McDonald crap food. Their burgers are the 💣.
If you’re in town and want to support a business giving back, stop in and leave a tip!

They're 501(c)(3).

All work is volunteer.

They're looking for a van or truck to dedicate for food pick up & distribution.

They're hoping for supplies & manpower to build an awning so folks have cover when there.

Food is good but Ca$h is the Best as they can target purchases based on known needs.
