I forgot to take a pic but Andy Baraghani’s “Brussels Buried In Cream” was an amazing side for thanksgiving this year. Made good eating for a two person, post-work dinner! Gonna keep the recipe in my back pocket for sure!

Not so fast. Jackson conveniently took it out of full SCOTUS hands by quickly taking single justice control bc First Circuit is in her jurisdiction (she is assigned the Boston area). She also gave First Circuit and SCOTUS a nudge to get a move on by place a 48hr limit on the stay - that’s Monday.

She is the circuit justice in that geographical area - she is over the Boston area. It was strategic. She took it out of the hands of full SCOTUS. It expires in 48 hrs, and she did an unusual thing of explaining why she ruled and the timing. It was a wink/nudge to the First Circuit to get a move on.

There’s a theory that the ruling was the only way to force the issue and get the benefits back more quickly. I can’t say I fully understand the argument, but FWIW: www.stevevladeck.com/p/190-snap-w...
