I once used Star Wars as an excuse to punish my keyboard, sometimes for others, like http://FANgirlblog.com. I also whistle indoors. #SWREPMATTERS (He/Him)

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you.

Who's coming to save you?

(This works!)

This was work writing, but I was new, and was told to go to second most senior person to have them provide review/edits. I followed said review edits, took it to the senior person, who then lambasted me for the very changes I had just made. -_-
what is your least favorite piece of writing advice and why? 👀

Holy heck does Jiang Ziya go hard right out of the gate. So many scenes waiting to be air brushed on the side of a van.

(Sucky part is no Mandarin language option)
So Ne Zha was good. It’s weird, but I love the universality of comedy.

And welp, thanks to the message saying hang around for the end credits scene, I now have to watch the film made in the same EU before Ne Zha 2!

Now to go finish Nhe Za so I can watch the sequel.

I stopped right after the good guy used his flatulence to put the magic paint brush within reach.

And THAT is how you cracker an otter.
Steve insists his ‘Thinking Stone’ helps him solve complex business problems. I have yet to see the results.

The end of the year is upon us, so it's time to answer the big question — what was the worst thing you watched in 2025?

The holiday season just got wild with the delivery of the used professional scanner that was bought from goodwill without being tested and no power cord.

This will either be the season of joy (while slowly scanning slides and photographs) or the gnashing of reposting for parts on ebay.

Historians do what they do because they are passionate and love what they study. The fire that burns in my wife’s eyes when she’s discovering something in the depths of microfilm is magnificent.
Also, if you don’t like reading works in your field you probably shouldn’t be a historian? It is very much your job to do that, and if you don’t like it then unfortunately it’s simply not the job for you.
This is one of the reasons I remain horrified by seeing @historians.org suggest "ways to use gAI" that included this:

Even if you don't like the MCU, you'll like MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios. It's a fun, fast read. I continually tear pages from my copy of X-Men #410 and burn them in sacrifice for a hopeful sequel.
It’s the holidays and there’s a AVENGERS DOOMSDAY trailer out. If you or your friends and family want to know how we got here, or you’d like to prove to someone that the Infinity Saga was made up as they went along head to TheMCUBook.com or look for MCU: THE REIGN OF MARVEL STUDIOS at the bookshop!

Anastasia is a Christmas movie right?

I can slip it in between How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, right?

I was pretty proud of my ice tea until the styrofoam cup suddenly broke and it all crashed to the ground in a splash of tea water and ice.

But otherwise, no complaints about this Tuesday.

Fun fact. Glen Close performed all her scenes on an 18" platform for this film. But seriously, I love seeing stage craft like this.
#WakeUpDeadMan is now on Netflix, and is still in 500 theaters nationwide this week! See my pinned post for a theater finder link. ⏰💀🪦🍿🎟️

I appreciate it's in the original, as I cannot bring myself to watch the sequel anymore due to a momentary cameo.
John Williams’ “Somewhere in My Memory” is so damn good. For me it has transcended its original identity as a piece of film score and has been elevated into the canon of holiday-themed music.

I gotta believe that when you take the core age demographic of people who watch the Oscars and overlap it with the core age demographic who use Youtube, in the center are maybe a few hundred people.

One of my favorite line standing memories was waiting to see this movie, having left early from work to be sure to get a good seat. Everyone was excited and just loving Star Wars.
