New White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt did her first press briefing today and told a number of demonstrable lies (about condoms for Gaza, the criminal records of undocumented migrants, and more).

This is how the New York Times covered it.

Jim Acosta just powerfully announced on air he is leaving CNN with the words: "It is never a good time to bow down to a tyrant." He added, "Don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth and to hope." Amen. Jim will be missed.

Anyone with a basic grasp of elementary mathematics could work out that this is a no-brainer. Plenty contemplating the loss of billionaires from today's society would be clutching at their glass pearls around their necks & weeping for the elite. Trust me, The elite would survive.

Scottish Labour, scared of disagreeing with Sir Keir, have ordered their MSPs to sit on their hands & abstain on the Scottish budget vote that will restore the winter fuel payment & end the 2 child cap (rape clause).

Scottish Labour, as much use in standing up for Scotland as a chocolate teapot.

NHS Scotland had 27% fewer delayed hospital discharges than NHS Wales after decades of Labour control there but Scottish Labour conveniently ignore that

He has £21 MILLION left to sell

Genuine question
Is there any former major Cabinet Minister of any party whose political ambition has NOT been for personal financial benefit in the end?

It takes a special kind of stupid to choose staying in a union that constantly allows energy bills to ramp up, Against a country which could potentially have cheaper energy bills for all it's citizens.

It's a pity unionist parties can't see the wood for the trees on this issue. One theory is by providing help to those more vulnerable is that they are more likely to spend locally. Therefore communities benefit as a whole. Instead we see a continuation of Tory austerity, by so called socialists.

Democracy does not matter to Labour
