"Much as granaries and refrigeration transformed food markets, storage will turn electricity from perishable to persistent, unlocking a new era of energy abundance."
Silos for Sunshine: we've mastered harvesting the sun, but storage is the gamechanger | Ember
The shift to renewables represents an agricultural revolution for energy, moving from searching and extracting scarce fuels to harvesting abundant sunlight in place.

Het raadsel van de verdwenen negatieve prijzen in juli blijft nog even. Eind deze maand ga ik analyseren. Of heeft u het antwoord al?

9 million years ago, a romance between tomato-like plants and potato ancestors (Etuberosum) in South America led to the birth of the potato as we know it! This ancient hybridization resulted in tuber formation allowing potatoes to thrive in harsh Andean environments! 🧪

Fascinating! I foresee that battery storage will strongly increase (which combined with strong battery price decreases means ~100x more batteries in the coming 10 years) and this will support solar+wind and reduce grid investments.

Today was the day when Europe announced that it is moving on:

The Franco-British agreement to establish a nuclear supervision group, and a permanent headquarters for the Ukraine coalition of the willing can become contours of a new European security architecture - this time without the US.

Europe is moving on without the US, and the US does not seem to like it after all.
