They couldn’t let us bask in the joy of victory for even 1 week.
All they gave us was 5 days. Couldn’t even get us to a week of being hopeful. All that goodwill and joy and happiness that maybe the Democratic Party really can do something right, all of it tossed in the trash pile. Sigh…

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.
We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.
We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Sounds like it's all policy.
I love this expectation that politicians lie to voters, but actually intend to do the bidding of the investor class.

Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."

Ffs. Fine. I'm gay now. Happy? Now just let me enjoy my wife in peace.

Improvements in technology, increases in wealth production, paradoxically lead to immiseration under capitalism. Hunger in the midst of plenty.

Maybe my standards have dropped, but I'm honestly impressed that Johnson is even aware of the results.

It would be equally egregious if they weren't U.S. citizens, but it's important to note that they were. We can see what ICE is, what purpose it serves, and whose interests.

Pretty sure the intent behind these equitable-treatment rules was to make sure that grocery stores didn't discriminate *against* the poor. But, sure, why not concoct a legal pretzel to make sure that a business can't do something that would both help customers and keep itself in business.
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

This is doubly wacky when you realize these AI companies are surviving on investment, not profit from sales.
Pretty sure I could write a 10,000 word academic article just unpacking all the misdirections in this one paragraph.
Wrong about intelligence, wrong about tech development, wrong about the political economy of AI, etc.
These arguments should never have escaped discussion board containment.

She ran — like anyone would if a stranger tried to snatch them. Now she’s charged with “assaulting a federal officer” and facing 20 years.
