Speaking truth to power.

It looks like they're reasoning because the information they were trained on was written by people who reasoned. But they're regurgitating what they've consumed.

Maybe one day AI will reason, but if it does, it won't be based on LLM technology.

AI isn't truth-seeking. It's information-gathering. The quality of the information it gathers determines its output. If it gathers from Stormfront, it'll spew Nazi apologia.

Truth-seeking requires reason, and LLMs don't reason.

Man, I had these when I was a kid back in the 80's. I didn't know they reissued them. S-tier toys, for sure.

Hindsight is 20/20. There was no way to predict people wouldn't like a video of him doing that to them.

Ngl, I'm in my forties, and I'd find that schedule challenging.

I love it. To me its design reflects a spirit of exploration rather than war -- moreso than any of the other hero ships.

We're trying. Lord knows we're trying. And, if the most recent results are any indication, I think we're making meaningful progress.
