i keep thinking of salinger's "a perfect day for bananfish", which includes a metaphor about the fate of a fish that over-indulges to the point it fattens up so much it can't escape from its feeding hole. i dunno...
TW: This is an allegation of a conspiracy to murder a Trump rape victim & cover it up.

In the Epstein files, a former DFW Limo driver relays info about his experiences driving Trump, who was speaking about “Jeffrey” & “abusing some girl,” & him telling a Trump/Epstein victim to report their abuse.

In 2023 I became obsessed with videos of dads in cargo shortswaiting in parking lots during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. So when she came to town, I grabbed a camera and headed down to talk to them. I thought it'd be funny. It turned out to be something else entirely.

"giving voice to the voiceless" -- this is so, so important. once the voiceless REMAIN voiceless because of state control/influence, we no longer have freedom of speech. it really is that simple. i'm not exaggerating.
1. BREAKING

Sharyn Alfonsi, a correspondent for 60 Minutes, sent an internal email to colleagues stating that CBS News editor in chief Bari Weiss “spiked our story” about the Trump administration and the transfer of deportees to a prison in El Salvador.

So Bari Weiss’s first real editorial intervention at CBS is to repress coverage of American concentration camps.

it's all the worst people for the job. just everywhere you look, it's the person who is least qualified to lead. it's going to be so hard to come back from this (assuming optimistic results in 2028, which are, of course, not certain).

freedom is dying in the west
Why would you need to put a pause on a story that has been meticulously fact-checked and lawyered?

Sounds like the kind of story you’d want to run right away!

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

The Kennedy Center opened in 1971. The first concert included Bernstein's Mass, written in memory of JFK in the wake of his assassination. Living presidents shouldn't name buildings after themselves. That is an honor that has to be earned. What a disgrace.
They already added Trump’s name to the Kennedy Center….this is illegal without congressional authorization

Interesting to consider that if you were to go and deface the Kennedy center by removing Trump’s name, you’d be arrested and charged with a crime, but your act would be no more unlawful than what they’re doing right now.

the current regime continues to wage chemical warfare on citizens of the united states
Armed ICE agents trapped US citizens in a restaurant and demanded their papers. Federal agents walked into East African restaurants in Cedar-Riverside, MN. They closed and blocked the doors. Then they demanded to see everyone’s papers. Every person present was a US citizen.

It's definitely Bush v. Gore, but it's *also* even more -- even most -- definitely Citizens United
it's so funny how many libs simultaneously think J6 was the worst thing to ever happen wrt to an American election but also have tried to rehab Bush Jr's image
25 years ago today, SCOTUS elected George W Bush president of the United States by blocking completion of a voting canvass in Florida. A subsequent canvass by the Associated Press showed that Bush's rival, Al Gore, had won the race in Florida—and thus the contest for the presidency—by 700 votes.

Trump's dementia has grown so extreme that a select group of advisors are now running the country without his input. To find who those advisors are and what their plans are, buy my new book, which will appear in March 2029.

absolutely sickening
Trump goes on another racist rant about Somalis: "Ilhan Omar should be thrown the hell out of our country, and most of those people -- they have destroyed Minnesota. It's a hellhole right now. Those Somalians should be out of here. They have destroyed out country ... go back to your own country."
December 3, 2025 at 9:43 PM
More association fallacy -- this time driven by racism.
Q: The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, is saying he's proud to have the largest Somali community in the country--

TRUMP: Then he's a fool. I wouldn't be proud to have the largest Somalian-- look at their nation. It's just people walking around killing each other.

*Not* bragging about taking/acing a test to determine if you have dementia should be the new cognitive test. Difficulty: impossible.
Trump: "I took my physical. I got all As. Everything. But they said to me, 'would you like to take a cognitive test?' I said, 'Is it hard?' They said, 'yes.' I said, 'Well, I'm a very smart person. Who was the last president to take one?' 'No president has ever agreed to take one' ... I aced it."
