I learned about an interesting program at Villanova that allows people to become immigrant advocates who can then argue cases in front of the DOJ...*without* being an attorney! The DOJ has signed off on this program, and recognizes those who complete it as "accredited representatives." Hmmm

I want to like macaroni and cheese, and I have had good macaroni and cheeses, but the possibility that said mac and cheese will be gritty is what keeps me away, and makes Kraft Mac and Cheese undefeated for me; it has no pretense about what it is and what it came here to do.

It's weird to feel both foolish and excited at the prospect of changing careers in my 50s. I reached out to a former colleague who is a former attorney to ask if I can pick his brain about the best way to do this. So far, my family and friends are being incredibly encouraging and supportive.

$5.25 when I started working in 1998. Literally two dollars in 27 years is equally asinine, especially when you consider the average apartment in my state was ~ $600 but now it’s $1,700.

When I started working at the age of 16, in *1990*, the minimum wage was $4.25. It has gone up only $3 in 35 years. It is unconscionable to argue against its increase.
