Throwing away some old engravings from my art school days. Boy, did my teachers force themselves the extra mail for making me hate that medium... But I fell in love with it later...

Techbros seem to love Tolkien, so here's an analogy to help you understand what genAI is.

GenAI is The One Ring. You think your use is justified, b/c you don't have evil in your heart.

But it came from evil, it is intended for evil purpose, & anything you do with it will be twisted to that end.

Jerry Lawson was an electronics engineer in the 1970s.

His contributions to the gaming industry on the Fairchild Channel F console lead to the development of durable, reusable game cartridges (called videocarts at the time), paving the way for systems like the Atari 2600 and the NES.

Incredible. I am going to take a breath and marvel at the fact that Magic: The Gathering players have just raised $75,000 for @translifeline.org in a little over 8 hours.

The DIT Sacred Bull album is going to be the weirdest SB release to date. Our occult wizards have already been slow-cooking some technoccultish incantations with a FUCK load of reverb.
@johnerrwin.bsky.social wrote Galaxy Goons, the scifi edition of the NSR classic Tunnel Goons. @wilderwhim.bsky.social's Pulvis et Umbra is a post reality romp with accompanying ritual post-metal album. I hope he can recreate the magic again with the metal album stretch goal.

Back the game here!

I know shipping sucks and I completely respect anyone not buying my shit because of it. It’s VILE that shipping a zine now costs more than the zine itself, but I can’t really do much about it without cutting profits into unsustainability. I truly appreciate folks understandingly biting this bullet.
Just a reminder to folks.

Shipping is as expensive as hell and indie creators should not try to subsidize it.

It will tank their project.

I was approached by @snow117.bsky.social to make a video for Screaming Metal Vector Soul and given free rein to go wild with it, which was fun!

I'll put up a youtube video about the process soon. In the meantime, go check out the project on Backerkit

"Our standing rule is: If one of us brings up using GenAI in any of our work, then it's safe to assume we've been assimilated by The Thing and should be burned alive by Kurt Russell," said a game design consultant in the US.
Over 50% of game developers now think generative AI is bad for the industry, a dramatic increase from just 2 years ago: 'I'd rather quit the industry than use generative AI'
The latest GDC survey also found that managers are more likely to use generative AI than their employees.
