To the first part, we *can't* tell. It's terrifying because vulnerable people are made even more vulnerable to things like being trafficked because as you said, anyone can pretend they're an ICE agent.
Some people have begun calling the local police when "ICE" shows up, with mixed success.

To the first part, we *can't* tell. It's terrifying because vulnerable people are made even more vulnerable to things like being trafficked because as you said, anyone can pretend they're an ICE agent.

Went out to a community garden to do fieldwork. A gardener stabbed my nonfunctional sunblock spray with scissors so it exploded sunblock all over me and my partner - a last ditch effort to protect my already-burning self.
He sent me home with a bag of beets.
