Most Americans agree we need to get money out of politics. If that takes a constitutional amendment, then that's what we have to do. And if that's going to take years, then it's all the more reason to begin pushing now.

The Washington Post-truth.
Democracy died there.
In the last month, Washington Post Editorial Board has:
•Called to RE-invade Afghanistan
•Blamed Hamas as Israel kills 100+ Palestinians since "ceasefire"
•Defended Trump destroying the White House

This is what state media looks like. I guess "Democracy Dies in Darkness" was a mission statement.😐

A new poll shows Americans blame Trump and Republicans over Democrats for the shutdown 53%-37%. (Independents blame Trump by a nearly 3-to-1 margin, 58%-21%.).

People aren’t dumb.

Americans' views on the economy turned more negative in the third quarter with deepening concerns about jobs, inflation and the outlook.

Trump let George Santos out of jail just to make it clear that if you're loyal to him, you can get away with anything. This isn't a democracy if one man decides what's a crime and what isn't.

Time for everyone to wake up. This moment is more serious than many want to believe.

Nobody has Long COVID, but everybody has brain fog, cognitive decline and memory loss. I talk about the overwhelming scientific evidence that COVID damages the brain, and the overwhelming social unwillingness to acknowledge it in my latest:

It's been a long time since politicians focused on fixing anything, largely because the supremacist bias is so ingrained in culture, especially conservatives. So, how about we CONSERVE some fucking water, & put people to work actually repairing the land.
Rehydrating massive areas of land does NOT need to be complicated or expensive. Turn it into a contest with prizes for everybody. (Yoo hoo, @democrats.org Remember your constituents who don't have billion$... or get out of the way.)

The cool thing about all these lone eco-saviors is that their work is reproduceable with regional tweaks as needed. We need communities to understand & deploy perennial polycultures / food forests in every potential site (schools / churches for example)..
There are stories after stories of single humans or tiny groups making enormous contributions to the resurrection of now rehydrated / revegetated drylands. Here is just one of them.
