Yesterday I choked on a piece of water!
I was never in any danger, but couldn't clear my throat for 45 min. Afterward, I was zonked!
Eating & swallowing difficulties, called dysphagia, are common in those w #MultipleSclerosis. Therapy & mindfulness helped me.
Hydrate safely, my friends. #disability

The only issue...unanimously supported when I’m knocking on doors is that our healthcare system is broken. Yet there is a complete disconnect w individuals not realizing how going to the ballotbox & voting is directly related to their healthcare options. - IA Rep. Josh Turek, running for U.S. Senate

My #MultipleSclerosis manifests neurologically so it feels like I’m often waiting for more functional brain ‘days’ to be able to do tasks that used to be easy

Today is the 1st time in weeks that my 🧠 seems somewhat functional. Hoping it lasts long enough to get some of my to-do-list done🤞🏻

Alice Wong's is a strong, unapologetic #disability voice. Check out all of her work on her Disability Visibility podcast.
with the unfortunate passing of Alice Wong, I will be reading this book. I’ve already read some of it and it’s really good. I highly recommend looking her up because the things that she did for the disability community will never be forgotten.

I spoke with her once when she hadn't eaten in a month on a hunger strike. Even then, she had a joyful laugh when speaking. A woman of conviction.

It's infusion day! I look forward to my treatment every 6 months. It's slowed the disease progress so much and allowed me to fight Multiple Sclerosis.

This past 6 months I have had less fatigue due to finding the right combination of vitamin supplements. Let's go! #mswarrior
