Is there nothing our elected officials can do? They should be able to DEFUND ICE, impeach a few department secretaries, give aid to our foreign allies, investigate murders by federal agents AND deal with criminality of withholding Epstein files. There are 500 + members of House and Senate.
We are now 40 days beyond the statutory deadline for the full release of the Epstein files

Absolutely right. Journalists should not believe ICE. Look for video evidence (you know it's out there) before reporting.
The initial reports from DHS never ever reflect reality and at this point it's journalistic malpractice to write stories as if they do
