It was lovely to support the fundraising event at Ceres Church yesterday, raising vital funds for the International Centre for Child Trauma Prevention and Recovery and their work supporting Palestinian children living with PTSD. Grateful to everyone who came together for such an important cause.

Great to visit the Bowhouse East Neuk Knits weekend yesterday - always a fantastic celebration of local creativity 🧶✨

Brilliant to meet so many talented makers, including Di Gilpin, Sheila Greenwell, Newburgh Weavers and Balmerino Wool.

As we reach the end of November, here is a roundup of all the casework my team and I have done this month, as well as some of the topics mentioned to us most by constituents.

Happy St Andrew’s Day! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A day to celebrate Scotland’s history, culture, and communities - and everyone who makes North East Fife such a special place to live and work.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Great to join Cupar Tesco’s Winter Food Collection and support the brilliant work of Trussell Trust and FareShare.

The volunteers, community groups and food banks involved make such a difference to people facing hardship each winter.

I’ve been pushing for urgent clarity on the major bus service changes affecting communities across North East Fife. From withdrawn routes to reduced connections, these changes are having a real impact.

Great to stop by Innocent's grassy van and discuss the issue of fruit and veg deserts, particularly the challenges faced in North East Fife. I look forward to meeting again to further discuss supporting access and policies to support better outcomes.

Glad to see the Carer’s Allowance overpayments report published after raising it last week. The Government has accepted most recommendations, including reassessing cases and refunding carers who were hit by years of unclear DWP guidance. Long overdue.

Great to meet with the Ramblers this week to discuss improving public access to nature as we mark 25 years of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act. Access to the outdoors matters, and I’m proud to support efforts to ensure everyone can enjoy it. 🌿

Below are the updated timetables for local bus services following the recent changes. I know how disruptive and frustrating these alterations have been for many across North East Fife.

Good to meet with representatives from @unlockdemocracy.bsky.social to discuss the Elections Bill, Automatic Voter Registration and Votes at 16. I was also pleased to sign their open letter calling for AVR, Votes at 16 and for the independence of the Electoral Commission to be protected.

Today I met with WASPI campaigners who come every year on Budget Day and year after year are let down by no mention of compensation. I will continue to stand up for WASPI women to ensure they get the compensation they rightly deserve.

I’m pleased the Government has finally responded to Liberal Democrat calls for urgent action on energy bills - but this can only be the start.

Budget 💷 Labour has failed to deliver fairer taxes. Big banks, digital service companies and online gambling firms should pay their fair share. Instead, hundreds of thousands of lower wage earners and retirees with modest occupational pensions will be dragged into income tax by Labour’s stealth tax.

This scale of Al-Fayed’s crimes is staggering - with over 400 survivors coming forward.

Dave Robertson MP and I are calling for a full inquiry, not just into Al-Fayed himself, but into everyone who enabled him.

Survivors deserve to be heard, and justice can’t wait any longer.

Mohamed Al Fayed was a sexual predator. We’ll make sure survivors are heard
The former Harrods owner died before he could face justice. But his enablers still have questions to answer – and MPs will make sure they do

Really great to see the Ardross path in St Monans fully repaired after last year’s storm damage. Huge thanks to the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust for their hard work in keeping our coastal routes safe and accessible for everyone.
It was great to meet Robbie Blyth from Fife Coast & Countryside Trust yesterday to hear about the repair plans for the damage behind Ardross Farm, now that funding has been secured. Until the works begin, please follow the signs! 🚧
