It was lovely to support the fundraising event at Ceres Church yesterday, raising vital funds for the International Centre for Child Trauma Prevention and Recovery and their work supporting Palestinian children living with PTSD. Grateful to everyone who came together for such an important cause.

Happy St Andrew’s Day! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A day to celebrate Scotland’s history, culture, and communities - and everyone who makes North East Fife such a special place to live and work.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Great to join Cupar Tesco’s Winter Food Collection and support the brilliant work of Trussell Trust and FareShare.

The volunteers, community groups and food banks involved make such a difference to people facing hardship each winter.

Great to stop by Innocent's grassy van and discuss the issue of fruit and veg deserts, particularly the challenges faced in North East Fife. I look forward to meeting again to further discuss supporting access and policies to support better outcomes.

Glad to see the Carer’s Allowance overpayments report published after raising it last week. The Government has accepted most recommendations, including reassessing cases and refunding carers who were hit by years of unclear DWP guidance. Long overdue.

Great to meet with the Ramblers this week to discuss improving public access to nature as we mark 25 years of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act. Access to the outdoors matters, and I’m proud to support efforts to ensure everyone can enjoy it. 🌿

Good to meet with representatives from @unlockdemocracy.bsky.social to discuss the Elections Bill, Automatic Voter Registration and Votes at 16. I was also pleased to sign their open letter calling for AVR, Votes at 16 and for the independence of the Electoral Commission to be protected.

Today I met with WASPI campaigners who come every year on Budget Day and year after year are let down by no mention of compensation. I will continue to stand up for WASPI women to ensure they get the compensation they rightly deserve.

I’m pleased the Government has finally responded to Liberal Democrat calls for urgent action on energy bills - but this can only be the start.

I met with Scottish Gas to hear about energy support available this winter and gain practical tips to keep homes warm. It was interesting to discuss the grants of up to £2,000 available through the British Gas Energy Trust to help with energy debt: britishgasenergytrust.org.uk/grants-avail...

Proud to support my Lib Dem colleague @dannychambers.bsky.social as his landmark Bill to crack down on puppy smuggling passes in Parliament. A huge step forward for animal welfare 🐶🧡

Next week is UK Parliament Week, and I’m delighted to be joining Scouts, Cubs, Brownies and several local schools to talk about Parliament and the importance of having your say.

If your group or classroom wants to get involved too, here are some great materials: buff.ly/Q41Qdqw

Today on World Pancreatic Cancer Day, I’m highlighting Isla’s campaign in memory of her brother Tam, who died only four weeks after his diagnosis. Her 200,000-strong petition for earlier detection shows why we urgently need faster diagnosis and better support.

During today’s debate on unpaid carers, I paid tribute to the incredible work of Fife Carers, who support so many people across North East Fife and beyond. I also pressed the Government on the urgent need for proper respite breaks. #CarersRightsDay

Yesterday, I joined with @crisis-uk.bsky.social and 15 other organisations calling for the Chancellor to restore housing benefit to match the true cost of rent.

The budget next week is the Chancellor's opportunity to lift people out of poverty and prevent homelessness.

Yesterday I highlighted a serious gap in healthcare: there is currently no specialist ME doctor or nurse anywhere in Scotland.

Everyone with ME deserves access to trained, specialist support, no matter where they live.
