I’ve an award winning podcast about all that’s weird and a little off kilter in the town of Biggleswade and Bedfordshire. History with a pinch of the paranormal, folklore & urban legends. I also like cake, cats, beating bosses and disability rights.
How do you feel about dolls? Gorgeous or creepy? This doll called, Queenie was on display at Bedford Museum for many years. Her story and other haunted tales from the Higgins Bedford will be explored in the next episode of the pod.

This is a really interesting and unique case (and fascinating insight into work of the SPR which I will immediately mine for my writing…)
There’s more to Brighton than the seaside. In this week’s episode of Weird in the Wade Brighton is haunted by all manner of strange and uncanny phenomena.

Biggleswade didn’t get any more snow just lots of rain today. But I took this photo on Monday and I love the lights on the Italian restaurant shining on the snowy path.
Keep warm and safe everyone!

After just selecting “stop showing me this rubbish” (or equivalent) on Facebook after it yet again recommended a “nostalgia” page, that’s really a front for far right propoganda. The algorithm switched to showing me ads for “dry itchy scalp.” instead. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Another wonderful episode, and a reminder that I need to renew my various newspaper archive subscriptions...was recently alerted to a long-gone local newspaper column collecting first-hand ghost experiences that might need some close examination...

Tomorrow's brand new episode of Weird in the Wade involves a unicron in Edwardian Brighton. It's one of the strangest hauntings I have ever read. This isn't a magical, sparkly unicorn but one that is terrifying and violent. This is not a case for the faint hearted! www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p...
