I’m convinced at this point that if the world were ending tomorrow, and the media had the story, it still wouldn’t be reported on. It would just be a nice little surprise for everyone

Christopher Larkin’s soundtrack to Silksong is perfect, from the huge, booming, frantic boss scores to the somber, reflective numbers. But I think I like the latter best: the moments that capture the sound of dust suspended in a sunbeam, a kingdom past its glory, quiet ruin. Gorgeous.

Nintendo/GF/TPC: Let’s make a bare-bones, paywalled, miserable time of a game, charge $70, and then $30 more for an even worse experience as a DLC.

Team Cherry: Hey, want a huge, gorgeous, $20 game that will easily become your all-time favorite, and a free DLC a few months later?
Team Cherry Holiday Sign-off! Hollow Knight: Silksong - Sea of Sorrow revealed, the original Hollow Knight refreshed, and more!

I’ve been wearing nothing but plain black tees for like six years now, but I would mercilessly, gleefully add this to the rotation.

…Plain black tees with athletic shorts or jeans, tbc—I’m not Winnie the Poohing it like the neighbor I once lived next to
I cannot WAIT to add this tee to my rotation and wear it around so people know what I’m about. Thank you @emmbunn.bsky.social

"You shouldn't make art for the money" buddy I'll take it one step further and say we shouldn't have to labor for capital at all but in the meantime pay an artist

At this point I would be positively floored to encounter a phone tree I didn’t have to “listen carefully” to because their “menu options have recently changed”

Meat Loaf’s Bat Out Of Hell II is a midlife crisis in eleven tracks, and I don’t know what it says about me that I’ve vibed with it since I was a teenager. Probably the same thing that my childhood love of crossword puzzles and Matlock does.

I once had someone ask, while I was at a table selling the very first issue of the comic series I write and illustrate, if they could put me in touch with their writer boyfriend in case I was “running out of ideas.” Probably that one
What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!

If you’re inclined to make purchases on what I’ve come to dub Buy Nothing Day, shop small, indie, local. Like, say, indie comics seen here from local StL shop All-American Collectibles! Give the big box stores and billionaires nothing but a visit from three (or four) ghosts this holiday season.

This looks and sounds fantastic
My new comic series was announced yesterday!
It's called IS TED OK? and it's a six-(oversized)-issue series from @madcavestudios.com

It's about human connection in a world hell-bent on crushing human connection.

This is the best work I've ever done. PREORDER!

Can I just have one hangout with people I like without spending the whole next week replaying and second-guessing everything I said and wondering if everyone hates me now for accidentally being a rude, feral, human-adjacent creature

These corporate sellouts just sold us out again, will sell us out every time. The system is working as intended, cannot be reformed, must be upended. To keep choosing this is to keep choosing our own suffering and oppression ad infinitum.

Dems will always capitulate to fascism, y’all—they know their base is moving leftward without them, and they will do everything they can to hold onto whatever modicum of power they have left to keep serving capital over human interests
There’s a hundred things they could’ve done to protect us while they had the chance if they gave a fuck about any of us. There’s no “our hands are tied, we can’t because of this bit of bureaucracy” when it comes to protecting and ensuring the safety of Capital. Because that’s all they serve.

The new @themountaingoats.bsky.social feels like a welcome message of hope that maybe, occasionally, or eventually, things will be OK—even if not OK forever, or if the resolution is currently only hazily glimpsed through the smoke of a raging inferno, you can still see it, if you squint just right

Knew nothing about From Dusk Till Dawn or Sinners going into them, which turned out to be an incredibly serendipitous choice for a double feature to close out October. Hot damn.

Does anyone have a web host they like to recommend that hasn’t been captured by private equity, and isn’t jacking up their prices exponentially every year, or injecting unwanted AI into everything? So NOT Squarespace, is what I’m saying

“So, you made it to 100% on Silksong. Congratulations! You’ve got one wish left to fulfill, then you can take on the last boss and get the good ending and achievement. How about a horrible little platforming section for the road?” OF COURSE

There’s a restaurant near me called “Loose Ends,” and every time I see it, I think about how bold it is to name your eatery anything vaguely reminiscent of diarrhea
