There is no excuse for any decent person to still be using that website. None.
Elon Musk chatbot repeatedly making CSAM on demand should be one of the single biggest stories right now and it's effectively a collective shrug instead

the first book I am reading in 2026 is Will There Ever Be Another You by Trish Lockwood and I am reading it with a brain zapped by antihistamines and sick kids — 11/10 would recommend this approach

An easy way to explain luddites:

Textile manufacturers brought in machines that could do in an hour what would have taken 12 hours by hand.

And then, tried to keep paying the now 12x more productive workers the same wages as before.

That's it, that was the problem luddites had. Not complex.

It doesn’t make a mockery of college football so much as it reveals to fans of the rich teams that the whole thing is already just charade meant to enrich coaches and admins at a handful of parasitic athletic departments.
From @theathletic.com: The timing of Lane Kiffin’s move to LSU makes a mockery of college football, our columnist writes. Imagine if a player tried to leave one SEC school for another in the middle of the season for a ton of money. nyti.ms/4oqebwn

My unsolicited writing advice is that if you want to get better at writing prose, you should keep a journal of sentences you like. In my learning phase, I'd rewrite sentences I loved in my journal, and every day, I'd go back and reread from page 1 of the journal each sentence I copied.

kinda feels like the histrionic reaction to the Kiffin thing by college football fans could be related to the way it reveals the college football playoff as the meaningless nothingburger it is, a secondary concern for the people who actually do the sport…
