This is what modern Democrat leadership has become; Republicans know they can wait them out, and the Democrats themselves will cave.

Democratic leaders are far more concerned about 'looking moderate' than doing the right thing.

Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

No matter how they voted last night, every one of them has a say in maintaining Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin as their caucus leaders. Every one of them is accountable here.

Dick Durbin (IL), Maggie Hassan (NH), Tim Kaine (VA), Angus King (I-ME), Cortez Masto (NV), Jeanne Shaheen (NH), Jacky Rosen (NV), John Fetterman (PA).

This
Amazon and Walmart are two of the biggest recipients of SNAP and Medicaid funds because they don't take care of their employees. Families working 40+ hours a week requiring gov subsistence. In Canada they go to food pantries to make ends meet.

Corporations are the real "welfare queens" of society

It's bullcrap
Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

I've wanted to see more of this for a long time. And I'd love to know if there is any longitudinal data that could tell us whether the public has become less informed over the years.
I’ve been thinking a lot about a new kind of polling I’d like to see. We have polling that measures public opinion, which is obviously important, but I’d love to see a little more empirical work on public knowledge: what do voters know about politics and policy?

NEW: SCOTUS majority says Trump can ignore precedent if the majority doesn't like it.

A 90-year-old precedent meant nothing to the majority allowing Trump to fire an FTC commissioner during litigation. This is no way to run a court, let alone a country.

Let me see if I can explain why these SCOTUS actions are so radical.

The central premise of the common law is that courts decide cases by applying legal principles to the facts of the case in front of the court. The court resolves cases based on the adversarial arguments of the disputing parties.
