After yesterday's surge we've almost filled up the (first?) #DOOP starter pack. If we keep getting waves of people, I'll start a 2nd!

I did go through and remove some of the national soccer media to make room, I'll start a second list for that if people are interested

Got into a fight in my town's subreddit and ended up pricing used Ferris Wheels. Anyone know if $499k is a good price, or am I getting fleeced?

If they're ever brought to court, it looks like premeditated murder could be on the table
CNN is reporting that federal authorities may have been collecting information and "documenting details" about Alex Pretti before killing him on Saturday, and that officers tackled him a week earlier. www.cnn.com/2026/01/27/u...
Alex Pretti was in earlier confrontation with federal agents who tackled him, broke his rib, sources say | CNN
Federal immigration officials have been collecting information on protesters and agitators, sources told CNN.

What do you expect, he's French.

From what I've seen they're kind of the best at protesting and doing general strikes. I mean they have special grills that fit on streetcar tracks for these occasions.

Interesting. We have an anti-second amendment president? Someone let the NRA know
Trump: "With that being said, you can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. You just can't. You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that. But it's just a very unfortunate incident."

I would be curious to know if the agent who shot him was involved in this incident. Could put a premeditated murder charge on the table? (if they ever charge him)
CNN reporting that a week before Alex Pretti was killed, 5 agents tackled him and he suffered a broken rib. CNN says he stopped his car after he saw ICE agents interacting with a family on foot and began to blow his whistle. Source tells CNN Pretti believed “That day he thought he was going to die”

And Renee Good's murder was recorded on the agent's cell phone, because they department is running a facial recognition and data collection program.

Lawmakers should be calling for an end to that program too.
wild to see any Democrats “unite” around any bodycam proposal after DHS has said they’ve got multiple bodycam videos of agents killing Alex Pretti

9°F and the train station waiting room locked once again, obv better it never be used for it's literal purpose than any homeless person ever use it to not freeze. We can make it a museum exhibit and look at the benches through the glass and think about what kind of society once did things for people

BREAKING Greg Bovino has been removed as Border Patrol "commander at large" and will return to El Centro Calif, where he is expected to retire soon. A stunning turnaround after Pretti killing. Bovino's traveling blue city crackdown is over www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...
