Sadly the current right-wing coalition government in Finland has foolishly cut the funding for the nation’s “Housing First” success story, and homelessness is predictably now on the rise again. That just reinforces the fact that such programs work, if lazy political ideology doesn’t get in the way.

Niin miksi veronmaksajan pitäisi maksaa yrityksille mitään yritystukia? Joku nämä etuudet maksaa, eivät ne tipu taivaalta. Ja kyllä, yritystuki on täysin epäkannustava. Juuri siksi sitä pitää uudistaa. Yrityksen pitäisi pyrkiä sen varasta pois eikä jäädä loukkuun, jossa markkinaehtoisuus ei riitä.

Niin miksi veronmaksajan pitäisi maksaa yrityksille mitään yritystukia? Joku nämä etuudet maksaa, eivät ne tipu taivaalta. Ja kyllä, yritystuki on täysin epäkannustava. Juuri siksi sitä pitää uudistaa. Yrityksen pitäisi pyrkiä sen varasta pois eikä jäädä loukkuun, jossa markkinaehtoisuus ei riitä.

Olen kohta 20 vuotta sanonut, että Suomessa yrittämisen ongelma on siinä, että meillä ei tueta tarpeeksi yrittäjiä, kun lähes kaikki tuet ja helpotukset valuvat onnistujille.

Suomen työttömyysturvaa pidetään avokätisenä. No, sitä se ei ole vaan OECD-maiden keskiarvoa alhaisempi. Tässäkään suhteessa Suomi ei ole enää pohjoismainen hyvinvointivaltio. Virossakin työttömyysturva on Suomea parempi.
