My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

Not to romanticize working for free, but fanfiction inherently exists outside capitalism. Fic authors are some of the few creatives on the planet who answer to no one. That's important. Treat fic like the precious art form it is.
