"While this censorship might seem brazenly anti-constitutional to most Americans, it has been the reality faced by incarcerated individuals for decades. In the name of 'security,' prison officials have punished and even killed people for possessing literature they deemed suspect." @theintercept.com
Prison-Style Free Speech Censorship Is Coming for the Rest of Us
The outcome of a court case could decide whether the Trump administration can criminalize simply possessing political literature.

The sectarian US left has allowed social media to make too much of its activity into influencer wars. That's deepened huge issues like projection and copy/paste rhetoric. Without more self-awareness, expect a lot of these people to shift right and/or be absorbed by fascism (in the name of leftism).

Being off work for basically a month was really bad for me to wanna do anything that doesn’t bring me joy or socializing with people in general.

It’s super gloomy outside and it’s a really good reading in the window with a candle and snacks day. But nooooo I have to work

This year I wanna go to more museums and art galleries so I can leave town more and meet new people.
February 14, 2026 at 6:16 PM
This year I really need to start doing more things like going to museums and art galleries off the mountain by myself.

I really need to meet some new people and try new things cause this town is going to kill my spirit

Much of my youth revolved around the website ZineLibrary. It went down around Occupy in a massive loss for a movement whose ideas and knowledge mostly doesn't circulate online but in person.

Anyway I've put it back online with a *thousand* anarchist zines:

Our Italian whistle designer just dropped the whistle he designed just for us, and my heart is very full today.

If you are doing printing for local events, check this one out! Designed to slice fast, pack a lot on a plate, be quick to print, and be easy to use!

Had to move spikes bed into the sunny spot before he took all the dirty laundry out of the basket.

He obviously needs his blanket while he’s sun tanning.

I really wanna plant some dahlias in my yard this year so that I can give my friends some cute flowers all summer

I was fooling myself when I picked up this book to read it. Obviously I immediately went on Pinterest to look up designs for this outside blanket 🙄
February 12, 2026 at 11:33 PM
I need to crochet a blanket that is specifically for outside and I need it to not be super heavy.

Will be scheming 😈

Trying to force myself to read as much as I can before the “busy season” starts.
February 12, 2026 at 10:43 PM
Alright I’ve frustrated myself enough with this specific crochet project so I have to walk a mile and then read several chapters of this book.

Everyone talks about their personal ai use but the impact of ai in medical care is really going to marginalize more people.

If ai is being racist/sexist/etc on social media, it’s def doing it in other algorithms.

I figured out how to tunisian crochet diagonally. Let’s fucking go.
