Really enjoyed reading @rogerprotz.bsky.social article on Round Corner Brewing in the current edition of CAMRA Beer magazine. They visited The Ale Pole in Daventry this year and the beers were fantastic, particularly Society for the Encouragement of Virtue. So good that I purchased a case 😅

I'm super biased but I love this article (partly because my young face is in it and I get a shout out). A look down memory lane at a console era that formed so many of my gaming memories and friendships that last until today. Great job @jonclarke.xboxera.com ❤️

Despite widespread claims, there are not many mediaeval pubs still serving. The ones that survive are all inns. The best preserved is the New Inn at Gloucester. We know from tree-ring dating that construction began in 1432 and it was first mentioned in the records in 1455 🧵

It's been a while.

Glad to be announcing a new game, and happy that it is something experimental and weird: a tiny, tense, turn-based strategy game about merging units into spectacular combinations, and then watching them evaporate thousands of bugs.

This thread reminds me of the good ol'days of Twitter!
It's seven years since we posted on Twitter about how kids kept coming into the library asking if we had any books about FORTNITE. We didn't back then, and we'd never heard of it so we tried asking what it was.
