A big lie (German: große Lüge) is a propagandatechnique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously"

For the first time all year, Democrats were riding high and the regime was on the ropes.

If Senate leadership’s goal was to demobilize and depress rank-and-file Democrats, they could not have played their cards better.

This is why we’ve launched the largest primary program that we’ve ever run.
Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

Astonishing: Bovino and his agents showed up at the Bean this morning to pose for pictures. While Border Patrol snapped photos, one agent shouted, “Everyone say, ‘Little Village!’” The neighborhood where they are least welcome and most acutely felt. blockclubchicago.org/2025/11/10/b...
Border Patrol Agents Pose At 'The Bean' For Apparent Photo Op
The photo op came after agents tear-gassed a Little Village street and were spotted in the area numerous times. At the Bean, one agent shouted, "Everyone say, Little Village!"

It is easy for Senate Democrats to disabuse us of that assumption — they just have to publicly make the popular call for new leadership.

If you’ve got a Senate Democrat who is not calling for new leadership, they’re part of the problem.

We should no longer trust Senate Dems who decline to come out against the leadership that led us here. Until proven otherwise, we should assume they were in on the game to fool their own supporters.

None of the Dem Senators (or Democratic-caucusing) who voted yes on the CR are worried about reelection:

• Dick Durbin – IL – Retiring 2026

• Catherine Cortez Masto – NV – Up 2028

• Jacky Rosen – NV – Up 2030

• John Fetterman – PA – Up 2028

• Maggie Hassan – NH – Up 2028

When leaders choose not to release contingency funds to maintain SNAP benefits during a government shutdown ― and then claim their hands are tied ― that’s a form of violent innocence. The insistence on purity/ procedure functions as a moral shield, obscuring the real-world consequences of inaction.
This nation is in a relationship with a narcissist. The whole GOP is proving how violent innocence is torturing Americans. People who want to starve children, elderly, disabled, veterans, mothers, the working poor, and furloughed are morally corrupt and lack empathy.

Something I don't think we're talking about enough is in addition to all else, Chuck Schumer is also actively lying to the American people that he's not behind the surrender and approves entirely of it, despite how obvious it is, down to him grinning leaving the meeting last night.

Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

Once Schumer is removed, every yes should lose their committee assignments. Make them lame ducks until they retire or lose their seats. Harry Reid and Pelosi would’ve prevented this moral cowardice in their chambers.

Pretty sure the fix was in from the start. The exact number of votes needed. No one with an election in 2026 unless they were retiring. As Max Kennerly said:
bsky.app/profile/maxk...
The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)

John Fetterman (PA)

Dick Durbin (IL)

Catherine Cortez Masto (NV)

Jackie Rosen (NV)

None of these people is up for election next year. COINCIDENCE?! I think NOT.

Johnny Cash fought for Native American rights and even dedicated an entire album to them. When radio stations refused to play it, he took out a Billboard ad asking one question: “Where are your guts?”

A reminder - last March, republicans promised to restore $1.1B in funding to DC in exchange for funding the government, and Mike Johnson never took it up in the House.

Several of the Senators voting for the cave in to GOP are referencing real stories of the pain of hungry constituents.

Don't they know that it was Trump's USDA that stopped #FoodStamps/ #SNAP during the shutdown??!!
