Learned a new mushroom! I've been trying to find these delicious Cortinarius caperatuses from Alaska for a couple of years now, but with no luck. Now, my mother, our mushroom expert, showed it to me on a familiar trail, and now I see them everywhere! They are unmistakable :) #fungi #AKforaging

If you've got any training in research (or have common sense) you will know that if your sources aren't reliable, neither are the conclusions you draw from them.

Opinion: We won an EPA grant to protect our village — then they killed it
We secured funding to save our Western Alaska community from riverbank erosion, but heard that it was terminated.

Cultural exchange: I made a Finnish "vihta" to use as a whisk in a steambath. My Dena'ina hosts would use something similar, but not made of birch.

Also, you can't have a scientifically sound report if the studies you base your analysis on (=sources cited) don't exist, no matter how much Press Secretary Leavitt et al., believe in them.
