Book alert for all the #IrishGenealogy folks. I love O'Farrell's writing, and her next book is about a father and son working on the Ordnance Survey. Historical fiction is a great way to help us imagine what life was like for our ancestors. people.com/maggie-o-far...

In Ireland, there are 122 landlords with 101+ tenancies. A further 130 with 50-101 tenancies. There is quite literally no need for anyone to own that much property.

A friend who teaches theology shared with me a post about CS Lewis's Mere Christianity, which discusses foundational Christian logic across denominations. It reminded me of Dale's tweet below, and I wanted to share some thoughts here regarding modesty and respectability, which are often hot topics.

This is a long shot, but I'm in Limerick regional hospital with my mum and she'd be a lot more comfortable with an electric fan but the hospital doesn't have one to spare. Would anybody out there have one I could borrow?
