This reminds me of the local case where a guy abducted by ICE was only returned home because he happened to work for a prominent local business owner and his business was attached to every story about it.
We're supposed to be happy he was released, but how fucked is it that this is how it works?

One of their workers was snatched by ICE which resulted in every PA high official you can think of getting involved. He was released. reason not given. future is still uncertain.

It's extremely difficult to argue for the measured application of the law, when the president is a child rapist and we're expected to just be fine with it.
Am I going to be the only one to suggest that firing a public school teacher for speaking out on a matter of public concern raises profound First Amendment issues, and we should pause before cheering on such actions when that power can be weaponized against progressive teachers in red places? 1/3

This should replace breathing for our elected officials. If they are respiring, this is the language that should be coming out of their mouths while they do it.
