64. Rakesfall by Vajra Chandrasekera

Fourth read through this one and still fantastic.

63. A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab

The nagging tendency to keep comparing this to a certain other book, was kind of a drag on my enjoyment of this one, but then I saw the kind of people who HATED this and my instinct to defend things from those types kicked in. It's good, I liked it.

Sometimes a review graph on letterboxd just makes you want to see if people can guess what it is.

This was one such graph.

62. The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker

One persistent thought through the reading of this book was just how hard it was to believe that this was written well before COVID.

61. Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett

This really was one of the best Discworld novels I've read. Maybe I really will just pick these up piecemeal over the years and look up one day realizing that I've read them all.

60. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

A fun little adventure. Generally a good sign when you already have the second book queued up less than halfway through the first.

59. Stories Are Weapons by Annalee Newitz

It's wild how much of, even the things I thought I knew about in here, I barely had the first clue about. Given how much of it touches on current events, I must follow it up with the most escapist novel I can find.

58. Spread Me by Sarah Gailey

This happens across multiple forms of media, but I will occasionally come across something so bizarre that the only thing I crave afterward is weird. This is just such a story.

57. The Good House by Tananarive Due

If Tananarive Due has any books that aren't just plain fantastic, nobody tell me, I want to find out for myself.

56. The Potency of Ungovernable Impulses by Malka Older

For a series where the first book didn't really grab me (potentially through no fault of it's own), I really can't recommend these enough. This might be the best yet.
