I recently cut the pattern for simple bags in various shapes & sizes for my offering at a #selfdirectededucation #unschooling space. I cut out all the fabric this morning from used garments. #reuse #upcycle made a simple library tote from a vintage pillowcase.

This made social media worth it today. We need more of this in all our lives. Living this fully would have many people with less time to be in other people's business. This energy would shift us all out of fascism.

Week into my Great Letting Go. I've sorted thru & delivered several eco bags full of mostly children's books. They give books out to anyone that wants them & do literacy programs for young folks around Philly.
This AM, my toy trunk. Downsized. My baby is almost 18 😂

I went on a #trolltrek with some friends & N17 in Burlington NJ. The troll called Big Rusty was commissioned by the county. Then other artists made troll inspired sculptures. There's 18 in total throughout this country in North Jersey.
We had a good time. Plus I love #graffiti. #artcrawl is fun.

I've been spending a lot of time helping my daughter navigate misogyny and the patriarchy. Helping her remember her own worth in a system that undervalues the effort, energy, work and skill of girls. Helping her navigate targeted interactions. Holding light in a system that rewards male mediocrity.

I have been facilitating at a neighborhood SDE school, its is delightful. I love #selfdirectededucation. our family of #autodidacts practiced #unschooling & #projectbasedhomeschooling for decades. it's been such a pleasure to work with young people again (now that my spawn are adults).

The last 2 weeks have been working full time (plus a couple hustles) which equate to 15k+ steps daily (over 5 miles). Excruciating foot pain is wiping me out.
Trying to figure out if it's tendonitis or plantar fasciitis or something else. #funtimes

One of my children and I did the no Kings protest today after ice hockey. My partner was already down there doing their first go at being a "legal observer".
It was benign but fun. We meet some doggos. Ate fruit. Talked about signs. Enjoyed at the #Gritty iconography.

Slowly getting these pants together. I'm bouncing back slowly, the epic medical appointment & getting everything back on track.
#Chronicillness is challenging. It's disruptive. There's not a lot of support for people w/ LT disabilities.
There's a lack of social network but I'm doing what I can.

DHS confirmed that ICE and CBP agents will be on site “for security” at the start of the FIFA Club World Cup at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. ICE also reminded non-U.S. citizens to carry proof of legal status while attending the event.
