It’s been 30 something years since I last drew anything. But here’s me going back to my roots.

The whole collection was beautifully written and satisfying. Not relying singularly on linguistic ability, storytelling, emotions or creativity, but he pulled it together in a way not many people can.

The Skin We Feel Most Comfortable In highlights an author truly at the top of his game. It's a veritable banquet of horrors, all told in his own inimitable style, as he wields a pen like a scalpel, opening a vein with his words, rendering you speechless with his talent.

THE SKIN is filled with fantastic frights, fables, and fascinations; Craig Wallwork's talent ensures that it applies to both sides of this collection, the dark and the light. That deftness is impressive- even more so with the amount of heart also contained within. @stinasdemons.com

“This is a fantastic collection. Craig has such an original voice. You never know where the stories are headed. Compelling work.
Can't recommend him enough.” @waynefenlon.bsky.social

I started writing to tell stories.
Then I wrote to be heard.
Then I wrote to get published.
Then I wrote to get an agent.
Then I wrote to make money.
Then I wrote to have an adaptation.
Then I wrote to keep distracted.
Then I lost my way.
Then I stopped.
Now I write because it heals.

Recent review for THE SKIN WE FEEL MOST COMFORTABLE IN. This collection is suffering out here in the wilderness from lack of readers. Released in June and only a dozen reviews so far. But this lifted my heels a little today. Thanks, Jen. #booksky

GET IT. Free shit is great, especially when it's worth as much as Craig's storytelling.
