Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

This is a really worthy cause. My local museum - The Shevchenko- is organizing Christmas gifts for children in the Ukraine 🇺🇦 .

If you can amplify or donate, that would be great.

Bagels are a MUST when in Montreal. St-Viateur Bagel and Fairmount Bagel are both fantastic! There's nothing better than a bagel so fresh that it's still warm. *chef's kiss*

There's concern about Bond continuity after the character died in the last one....but they're not concerned about how Bond would be approx. 100 years old by now. Interesting 🤔

RIP Tatsuya Nakadai

There are currently 25 films he was in available on the Criterion Channel*. Plenty of great film options to watch in tribute, but, just sayin', it may be a great time to watch all three parts of THE HUMAN CONDITION.

*In Canada; I cannot speak for other regions.

I am enjoying the first snowy day of the season today. There were considerably less people at the grocery store. It's like a dream come true for me.

Winter in Canada be like...
The 65th Grey Cup was known as The Ice Bowl and The Staples Game.
Played in Montreal on Nov. 27, 1977 between Montreal and Edmonton, the field was a sheet of ice leading to many fumbles. The Alouettes affixed staples to the bottom of their sneakers for traction and won 41-6.

Frankenstein is available to stream on Netflix today, so expect a bunch of “I don’t get the big deal” takes from people uninterested in the movie who half-watched it on their phones.

Optometrist appointment done. The first cafe I went to was full (a proper rainy day) so I've ended up at Bobbette & Belle and it's too hard to say no to a sweet treat here. I can confirm that the lemon oat square is amazing. #cafe #bakery #toronto #leslieville

I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

A few photos from a weekend trip to London, Ontario.

1/2 - great autumn colours seen from the 401 (near Woodstock)

3 - Chocolate and Salted Caramel donut from Dough EV

4 - a dead mall (formerly the Galleria which was giving spooky vibes even at 3pm so I'm calling it Murder Mall)
