Anyone who supports what was done in Venezuela on this date should feel ashamed of themselves. I certainly don't support it either.

Oh, it has problems, but unlike Elemental, the world-building, or more appropriately universe-expanding, is much better here, hitting on some great concepts w/ nuance and humor, some phenomenal emotional concepts, and great investment overall.

My Dad is especially against the Sequel Trilogy, but has said that he's half-onboard w/ this film.
He usually attributes his hate to Kathleen Kennedy, but by this logic, a proportionate amount of blame goes to J.J. Abrams, just saying.

So condensed thoughts on Elemental: especially flawed movie w/ uneven worldbuilding, obvious cliches, shifting tones...but I still sorta like it. IDK, there's an intelligent, symbolically profound idea amongst even the biggest flaws this film gave.
