My friend Dara lives just a few blocks from where Alex Pretti was murdered, and was on the scene immediately. ICE and CBP attacked an upset, angry but nonviolent group of neighborhood people - including Dara - with tear gas, without warning. Read her harrowing story on Facebook or her newsletter.
The good news is that my longer version of this post has broken containment on Facebook, and is inching towards 100,000 reads. The bad news is that I just paid the Facebook toll of wasting a perfectly good hour of my life blocking trolls.
