I am upset there is not non-romantic way to show affection to people as powerful as sex. I cant have sex with most of my friends! I wish I could give platonic friends the equivalent pleasure of orgasms. (Some of them I can via sex, but it my own sexuality doesn't permit it to any males, for example)

1) this is fucking amazing, I am so glad this exists.
2) HOWEVER to me it is also a reminder that Freddie Mercury didn't have to die, they could still be alive but Ronald Reagan decided to demonize a disease instead of funding research to cure it (I will never not be mad about it).

Oh my god, this is fucking huge. It was huge when we developed a daily PrEP pill that could prevent you from catching HIV; this is a successful phase III trial of a PrEP shot that will only need to be given *twice a year*. Still needs a confirmatory Phase III, but holy fuck.
