Massachusetts AG Campbell: What you heard from the president and the speaker is total bullshit.

Let’s take a step back. Never in the history of this country — during a war or an emergency shutdown — has the federal government ever stopped funding SNAP benefits for our most vulnerable.

Nothing like making children go hungry and keeping families apart during the holidays just to avoid making healthcare a little bit more affordable in America...
Sean Duffy: "We have a number of people who want to get home for the holidays, they want to see their family. Listen, many of them are not going to be able to get on an airplane."

Checking SCOTUSblog at 10pm on a Friday night to know whether you can feed your family or not. Trump’s America.
I’ve never seen an American elected official fight so hard to starve people.

Imagine being a single parent just wanting to feed your kids and you can’t get a straight answer on whether you’ve got benefits on your card or not.

The degree to which this whole situation is unnecessary is mind boggling.
🚨 BREAKING: The Supreme Court has granted the Trump administration’s emergency appeal to temporarily block a lower court order requiring full SNAP food aid payments during the shutdown, allowing Trump to continue with partial payments instead.

Clawing with their fingernails to keep food from hungry Americans. Speechless.

A federal judge has ruled that the Trump Admin must pay full SNAP benefits tomorrow. We shouldn't have been here in the first place. We won't stop fighting until they make this right.

@ajcampbellma.bsky.social is leading this fight to hold Trump admin accountable
Massachusetts AG: Never in the history of our country have we ever had SNAP benefits not go out to recipients, even during a government shutdown. This administration has caused additional delay by not fully funding benefits for November, even though they have billions of dollars to do so.

Imagine a family of four trying to feed themselves on $975 per month -- only for Trump to slash that down to $479. During a cost of living crisis.

And the White House wants families to be patient when there's no clear timeline for getting the help they desperately need? Inexcusable.

If he follows through with this, Trump is CHOOSING to leave millions of people hungry -- children, seniors, the disabled & veterans. This is cruelty, plain and simple.

It also violates a court order and I won’t let him get away with it.

Over 300,000 kids in Massachusetts rely on food assistance. Donald Trump is choosing not to feed them.

As a child, my family relied on that same help to put food on the table when we were struggling — so I know what’s at stake. That’s why I took his administration to court.

Hunger isn't political. Republicans are playing games with our families', elders', and disabled neighbors' next meal.
Massachusetts AG: Hunger isn't political. I'm proud to co-lead this coalition of Democratic AGs and governors to go to the court and require the Trump administration to continue SNAP benefits across the country. Over 42 million Americans depend on these benefits.
