17s boyfriend is a cutie. He's from Cuba (recent and legal) and never celebrated Valentine's Day before. Grand is his first girlfriend and she gave him a gift. He got upset that he didn't think to get her anything. So on a break at work, rushed to grocery store, got a cute card and put $50 in it!

I just realized what time it is (6:20pm) and I haven't made or even started cooking dinner. Told daughter I was out of ideas for dinner, so I suggested that since we all made out like bandits for Valentine's Day, we forgo cooking and just binge on candy and cookies. Got 2 thumbs up on that!

Love it! Just saw a ten minute montage of Barack and Michelle really OUT THERE with the public -- mostly kids. Their ease with people, their joy, humor and humanity -- I'd forgotten just how wonderful it really was. Barack loves the babies and vice versa. They were safe in his arms and they knew it.
