Posted two chapters of a fanfic I've been working on for ages. Nervous about it. Pointedly ignoring my tablet (used it to post the fic). Gonna have a glass of milk and then try to go to bed. I only just now realized how late it is. Mistakes may have been made.

Using genAI for concept art is so fucking stupid because like... that's where you get the cool shit. Thats the blue sky phase where artists make pieces of art that will be seen by a teenager later and change their life forever. Why would you want to start from mediocre. Why would you do that.

Disappointed to hear that the CEO of Larian studios is, in fact, a CEO, and treats AI like a CEO does.
AI for concept art may seem innocuous, but that stuff is important and often gets reused in games as background or loading screen art.
And it’d be nice if the game wasn’t guided by slop.

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

Once again people should have listened to sex workers, fosta/sesta was the beginning of successfully eroding section 230 and every year since then they have tried to further erode the law that made the internet what it is today. I cannot encourage people to learn about the history of sec 230 enough
