So, a little digging reveals:

It was not actually Michael Wolff, but Annie Karni & Maggie Haberman who reported in a 2019 NYT piece that Epstein HIMSELF claimed to have made the Melanie/Donny intro.

www.nytimes.com/2019/07/09/u...

Perhaps @anniekarni.bsky.social can clear up the matter.

Just read this as well. I've never thought one could sanitize child rape and trafficking as a rich boys just being rich boys spat. We are fucked.

Yep.

I, too, read this as retconning Trump’s alibi.

He was a sex trafficker to a sex trafficker. (Allegedly.)

WSJ breaks significant news reporting that Mar-a-Lago’s spa *for years* regularly sent young staffers to Epstein’s home purportedly to give him massages, contorts its scoop to find a more flattering angle for Trump, and still gets an icy blast of a comment from Leavitt. www.wsj.com/us-news/trum...
Exclusive | The Incident That Prompted Trump to Ban Epstein From Mar-a-Lago’s Spa
Mar-a-Lago sent an 18-year-old spa worker on a house call to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003. She complained to her bosses that Epstein pressured her for sex.

No president has ever made the United States less respected. We're being disrespected like never before. It's incredible. Many people are saying.

Unfortunately, it isn't funny, but we can laugh at him at least. lnk.thebulwark.com/4seItFL

It's been really interesting to watch as this story is just EVERYWHERE on Twitter, but isn't getting much traction on other social sites.
At one point, the two men in this video don’t identify themselves to daycare workers, demand to know where the children are, and then try to yank open the door as the female employees pull on it to keep them out.

Racism makes you stupid.
Immigrant-hating Stephen Miller talks about Americans being "first to harness the atom." But the first controlled, self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction was conducted by a team led by Italian immigrant Enrico Fermi, who didn't become a U.S. citizen until a year and a half later.

WTF?

Here in NYC, I serve on a Manhattan Community Board - and our transportation committee. We work with both the Dept of Transportation and the people to move forward!
This is a *brand-new sidewalk* currently being installed at Sunset and Alvarado, an extremely wide intersection where cars turn way too fast. There is so much space to create more room for people!

Instead we're making pedestrians navigate a maze and line up single-file to cross a dangerous street
Yes, the city needs to actually repave streets. Yes, the city needs to repair sidewalks. Yes, the city needs to install curb ramps.

But the bigger problem is that when LA decides to do anything at all to "help" pedestrians, the result looks like this complete and utter bullshit

Julie K. Brown is a reporter for the Miami Herald who did groundbreaking work on Epstein beginning in 2018, including groundbreaking work on the disgusting coverup by Alex Acosta.

Her travel itinerary was released with some of the Epstein files. It appears the DOJ was monitoring her in 2019.

INCLUDING SCOTUS
If the Democrats take the House, they can zero out the budget for anything they feel like unilaterally. Congress is the most powerful and important branch under our constitution even if no one in it wants to do their job.
There's a lot of recriminations flying around about past Trump impeachments and I would just like humbly to suggest we consider ways to force the removal from power of Stephen Miller. Could we impeach him? Defund his position? Bar him any access to legal authority? What tools can we conjure up here?

No argument.

I’m referring to the resurrection of the slur, @ebharrington.bsky.social
Mr. Weinstein, with respect, Donald Trump has a decades' long record of holding disabled people in absolute contempt and wanting to harm them--see them dead. Whatever Maye Musk's thoughts about disabled people, Trump himself has actively popularized hatred toward the disabled since he ran in 2015.

💯

How I think about it:

Who WANTS to do the most harm?

Miller.

It’s astounding how much damage Miller has done — morally, economically, safety-wise — because he can’t stand brown people. We are so much worse off bc of him. And yes, there’s much blame to go around - Trump, Vance, Noem, etc. - but Miller is the heart of it (ironic since he seems to lack one).

This admin makes Reagan's second term admin look lawful, and they have the record for most appointed staff both prosecuted and imprisoned.

But a lot of their actions are based on ever increasing legal breeches from prior admins, or circumventing things in ways that became normalized since Nixon.

As @dartmouthartsci.bsky.social faculty I think we all take pride in this distinguished alumna in government using her education to call citizens “hoes” for criticizing the regime. I know that’s what I try to teach my students! “Students,” I say, “never question power.”
Does it count as jawboning if an AAG is yelling at right wing propagandists, from her personal account, for criticizing the AG?

TL; DR

Here’s what intimidation of judges looks like.

It’s all coming from one direction: Trumplandia.
“More than 100 pizzas were delivered to the homes of judges and their families this year, some with signs of foreign involvement. Judges say the message is clear: We know where you live.”
"One judge moved house. Another had to freeze her credit cards after a security breach.

Other judges have taken actions to adapt to the changing landscape by upgrading home security systems, changing the route they drive to work."

This is fascism. This is what terrorist intimidation looks like.
